Overview

Building photorealistic 3D game environments has traditionally required extensive manual labor across high-poly modeling, texturing, rigging, and interaction scripting. In this project, I developed a realistic 3D game scene in Unreal Engine, investigating how modern generative AI workflows can be integrated directly into a real-time game development pipeline to accelerate asset generation and interactive gameplay prototyping.

To streamline the production pipeline, I integrated Tripo3D to generate textured 3D meshes from conceptual prompts and reference images, which were then retopologized and assigned custom PBR materials within Unreal Engine. In parallel, I leveraged Claude to assist in scripting core gameplay mechanics, environmental triggers, player interactions, and state logic, significantly shortening the feedback loop between design concepts and playable engine implementations.

The environment takes full advantage of Unreal Engine's Lumen dynamic global illumination and Nanite virtualized geometry to achieve high visual fidelity, realistic atmospheric depth, and stable real-time performance.
